SUSTAINABILITY

Acting responsibly is our core principle and starting point. We are especially proud of the following:

• Every part of Uurna, made in Finland from PEFC-certified solid wood, is biodegradable.
• The collection is timeless and suitable for everyone, regardless of gender or belief.
• We know the entire production chain and all subcontractors, significantly reducing the risk of unethical practices.
• We produce in small batches and finish each piece by hand.
• Uurnas are hand-dyed with ecological, water-based colors.
• Uurna can be reused when it is not buried in the ground together with the ashes.
• Uurna meets the official requirements for cremation urns and is approved by the Finnish Cremation Foundation.

We create high-quality, beautiful products where design thinking is at the heart of every stage—from production to packaging and shipping. Our aim is to contribute to a world of objects that draws on Finnish design and expertise while keeping the carbon footprint as small as possible.
